On July 2^nd, 2002 two planes, a Tupolev-154 and a DHL Boeing 757 cargo jet, noticed that they were on a collision course so both planes dived to try and prevent the collision fromfrom happining. But the two planes crashed over southern Germany killing 71 people, mostly kids. Experts say that the chance of a mid air collision with today's technology is one to one million but on July 2nd a mid air crash occured. The two planes were at about 36,000 feet when they met. The two planes fell the ground as burning pieces like fire balls and scattered over a 20 mile radius! The Russians Tupolev-154 carried 11 crew and 58 passengrs. 47 of the 58 were kids under the age of 16. The DHL boeing 757 cargo jet carried one pilot and one copilot. Every one from the two planes died! Most of the 47 kids of high ranking Bashkortostan officials going to Barcelona for a summer holiday.
